The Free Competition Moot is an annual event organized by Bullard Falla Ezcurra+ and the Universidad del Pacífico, where students of law and economics test their knowledge in front of a demanding jury panel made up of lawyers and economists who specialize in competition and regulation.
Each team must defend a position as plaintiff or defendant arguing a fictitious case that involves controversial aspects in these matters.
This event enables participants to develop the skills needed for specialized multidisciplinary work in antitrust and regulatory matters. The analysis required involves a sound knowledge of legal aspects and handling economic theory and the techniques applicable to these matters.
Since its inception 5 years ago, this event has gathered students from at least 12 Peruvian private and State universities, as well as students from countries such as Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Paraguay and Guatemala.
